MOORESVILLE, N.C. (September. 12, 2022) – The Dale Jr. Foundation today announced its annual Driven to Give Gloves Auction, which will see racing gloves worn by NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series drivers during this weekend’s upcoming race at Bristol Motor Speedway on September 14-16.
During the Bristol Race Weekend, 50 drivers in the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series will wear Dale Jr.-inspired skeleton gloves to raise awareness and funds for the Dale and Amy Earnhardt Fund at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Each pair of gloves will be autographed by both Dale Jr. and the driver wearing them before being auctioned off beginning September 16.
The Driven to Give Gloves campaign is a mainstay of The Dale Jr. Foundation’s annual efforts to support Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the courageous patients and their families in the area of pediatric injury rehabilitation, research, and prevention.
Dale and Amy have long been proponents of the work done at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Nationwide Children’s is one of America’s largest not-for-profit freestanding pediatric healthcare systems, providing wellness, preventive, diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitative care for infants, children, and adolescents, as well as adult patients with congenital disease.
The auction will begin on Friday, September 16 at 10 a.m. and run through Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 3 p.m. and can be found on the Foundation’s website, www.thedalejrfoundation.org. The starting bid for all gloves is $30 and bids can be made in increments of $25. Once purchased, the gloves will be shipped to winning bidders approximately four weeks after the auction ends, along with the Certificate of Authenticity.
