Mooresville, N.C. (January 6, 2025) – The Dale Jr. Foundation, the charitable arm of 15-time NASCAR Most Popular Driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., raised more than $1.2 million in 2024, spreading hope, cheer and empowerment to a variety of organizations committed to the future of our society. Proceeds from The Dale Jr. Foundation’s efforts in 2024 were given to more than 91 charitable organizations in the form of grant funding, and an additional 54 organizations benefitted from in-kind support. The donations will help fund the good works that these organizations do both regionally and nationally.
Among the many organizations receiving year-end donations from TDJF include Blessings in Backpack, Children’s Hope Alliance, Kinder Mourn, Camp LUCK, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Classroom Central, Pat’s Place Children’s Advocacy Center, Hope of Mooresville, FeedNC, Operation Warm, Pharos Parenting, HealthReach Community Clinic and Pinky Swear Foundation. The Foundation’s year-end giving program included many charities that fit its mission statement, which is giving underprivileged individuals, with a focus on youth, the resources to improve their confidence and education and the opportunity to achieve extraordinary goals.
In celebration of Dale Earnhardt Jr. eclipsing the one million follower mark on Instagram in May, the Foundation donated $1 million to charities. A charity located in each of the top-10 cities where Earnhardt’s Instagram followers reside received $100,000.
Headlining the fundraising efforts for the year was the 14th annual Driven To Give gala, featuring country music star Chris Janson. Attended by 320 guests, Driven To Give raised more than $460,000 toward TDJF’s year-end numbers. The Foundation’s raffle programs, Win Dale Jr.’s Ride, Vacation at Dale Jr.’s and Dale Jr.’s Gone Fishing, combined to raise more than $200,000.
The annual Gloves Program, benefitting the Dale and Amy Earnhardt Fund at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, set a participation record this year with 70 NASCAR drivers wearing Dale Jr.-inspired skeleton driving gloves in the fall race at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway. These gloves were auctioned off, raising nearly $80,000 for pediatric cancer research at the world-renowned hospital in Ohio.
In addition to its monetary donations, TDJF gave in many other ways as well, especially during the holiday season. TDJF, with the help of JR Motorsports families, was able to benefit 40 Angel Tree children from Children’s Hope Alliance. The JR Elves program hosted 11 children from Hope of Mooresville and provided them with a visit from Santa Claus, pizza, crafts, and a shopping trip.
