(MOORESVILLE, N.C.) May 21, 2008 – In its first major fundraising effort of the year, The Dale Jr. Foundation will launch the Route 88 Membership Drive May 22 at the Fan Zone event at JR Motorsports. The first 4,588 members to sign up by Oct. 12, 2008 will be entered to win Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s personal 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe.
As part of the Route 88 Drive, The Dale Jr. Foundation will display the 2008 Chevy Tahoe at the JR Motorsports Fan Zone Thursday and Friday in the Foundation’s exhibit. The next stop for the Route 88 Membership Drive is the CMA Fan Fest in Nashville, Tenn., June 3-8. Future stops will be posted on the Foundation’s Web site – www.thedalejrfoundation.org.
New members can join the Route 88 Drive by submitting their membership application and payment of dues in person to a designated representative of The Dale Jr. Foundation, by visiting the Foundation’s Web site and submitting their application and dues online, or by mailing their membership application and dues to: The Dale Jr. Foundation, PO Box 330 Mooresville, N.C. 28115.
In addition to the drawing for the Tahoe, Route 88 members will receive an exclusive Route 88 decal and newsletter. Membership fees for the Route 88 Drive are $88 and official membership information and rules are available on the Foundation’s Web site.
